The name

Why Moiwell.

Moiwell — al-Mu'awwil — comes from ta'weel, the classical Islamic discipline of returning a text to its intended meaning rather than its surface letters. Literal translation moves characters; ta'weel discloses sense. That is our ambition on every document: not words replaced, but intention preserved. We chose the name in recognition of a language whose depth resists abbreviation, and of a craft too old to be entrusted to a counter and a stamp.

§Section vi · Frequently asked

Quick answers.

What documents need certified translation in Saudi Arabia?

Most government-facing documents — birth certificates, marriage certificates, contracts, academic transcripts, court rulings, and corporate filings. Anything submitted to a Saudi ministry or to a foreign authority on Saudi paper typically requires certification.

Is a digital (e-signed) translation legally accepted?

Yes — digital signatures have been valid under Saudi law since the 2007 Electronic Transactions Law, and NCDC-issued translator signatures are recognized by Saudi government bodies. In practice, many receivers still expect a stamped paper copy, so we offer physical delivery alongside every translation.

What is an apostille and do I need one?

An apostille is a Hague-convention legalization that lets a Saudi document be officially recognized in 129 countries. You need one if your translation is going abroad — to a foreign embassy, university, or court. Saudi Arabia joined the Hague convention in December 2022; MOFA is the sole competent authority.

How long does MOFA apostille take?

1–3 business days, with a flat SAR 30 government fee. Moiwell adds a SAR 20 service fee for handling the submission.

What does "page" mean in your pricing?

One standard page = 250 words. We count words automatically when you upload. Partial pages round up — a document with 251 words is billed as 2 pages.

How are translators verified on Moiwell?

We verify each translator's MOJ license number against the Ministry's published list, and their office's commercial registration NUN at mc.gov.sa. Only verified translators can claim jobs on the platform.

Can I track my translation in real time?

Yes. Once paid, your job dashboard at /jobs/<id> shows the live status timeline, lets you message the translator directly, and notifies you on every state change.

What if I'm not satisfied with the result?

Every translation goes through internal QA review before release. If you're still not satisfied on receipt, request a revision within 7 days; the translator (or another) will re-do affected sections at no charge. Refunds are available before the translator claims the job.

How do I verify a Moiwell-certified translation?

Every certified PDF carries a verify.moiwell.com URL printed on the document. Anyone — receiver, ministry, embassy — can open that URL and instantly see the translator's MOJ license, signature validity, and the original document's hash.
